PLAYGROUNDS – Three age appropriate playgrounds
are available at the park. A tot lot for younger children
is adjacent to the large playground. A smaller playground
is near the picnic pavilion.
BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELDS – Three baseball and
one softball field with restroom and concession facilities
are located in the center of the park. With the continuous
increase in the number of participants in youth baseball and
softball, fields have become constantly utilized. In late
2007 work on an additional multi-purpose ball field began.
The new field will be able to accommodate baseball and softball
games.
SOCCER FIELDS – Four soccer fields located at the
east end of Easy Walker Park are used for all the youth soccer
leagues run by the Parks and Recreation Department and are
frequently used by other groups, including school and select
teams and adult groups for games. In 2007, a restroom/concession
facility was completed and opened for Spring Soccer, the facility
has been praised by many visitors all year.
TENNIS COURTS – Six tennis courts are located at
Easy Walker Park and are currently meeting the requirements
of the community. The courts at Easy Walker are also home
to the Montgomery County High School Boys and Girls Tennis
Teams. Check out the link in youth sports for information

POND – The pond located at Easy Walker Park greatly
adds to the scenic beauty of the park. The pond also has a
large dock that offers our community a great place to fish.
It is stocked annually with channel catfish. A fishing permit
is required per Fish and Wildlife regulations.
WALKING TRAILS – The walking trails at Easy Walker
Park provide the community a challenging and scenic 1.3 mile
track.
PAVILION – The Commission has received positive
feedback with regard to the pavilion, which is in nearly constant
use. Requests for reservations far out-number the days available.
A small children's playground, horseshoe pits and sand volleyball
court, makes the pavilion a popular place for family reunions
and church picnics. There are also picnic tables and a charcoal
grill available. If you would like to reserve the pavilion
please call the city pool office at 859-498-8728, there is
a reservation fee of $50.
CONCESSIONS AND RESTROOMS – A building central
to the baseball and softball fields houses the concession
stand and the restrooms. The concession stand was remodeled
in Spring of 1998. Repairs and maintenance were performed
on the restroom facilities making them adequate to serve the
public at this time. A restroom/concession building was constructed
in 2006 to serve the east end of the park. It opened for use
for the start of spring soccer season in 2007.
MESSAGE BOARDS – There are three message boards
at Easy Walker Park that allow visitors to check monthly calendars
and upcoming events that the commission has to offer.
HORSESHOE PITS – Twelve competition horseshoe pits
are available for use at Easy Walker Park directly behind
the tennis courts. The pits are designed for recreational
and tournament play. Easy Walker Park has been named the venue
for the 2008 State Horseshoe Singles and Doubles in September.
BASKETBALL COURTS – Two basketball courts are located
at Easy Walker Park. Several local industries contributed
toward the construction of these courts. Courts are open from
daylight to dark and are on a first come first serve basis.
